elephant ear soil ??
Hi Alpine,
Here is a great thread on gardenweb on someone's elephantear:
http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/houseplt/msg0423461620861.html?43
The person on that forum used bark, perlite, and some peat moss and has been doing great.
I used bark, perlite, charcoal, and chopped sphagnum moss and the plant transitioned well and looks great after a couple months.
If I had to do it over, I'd likely use Al's Gritty Mix (bark, turface, and granite in equal amounts) as I have had great success with that in my other plants.
I water it frequently as I hear these plants like to stay quite moist.
