I've been looing for a vine that grows fast in our area (zone 5) and found the trumpet vine to be beautiful. So, I googled this pretty vine and read some really bad things about it; mainly how invasive it is. I was thinking about building a box in the ground to contain it. Would this be possible and still allowing it to grow large or will the box inhibit its growth?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to grow this vine and not let it take over? Or is there another vine out there that I can use on a wood privacy fence?
