I have colored bell peppers when they get big enough and start to change color or a bit before -they get one side soft- rotting- and sometimes black but sometimes light or yellow.
What could this be? water/sun /temp? or soil? Please advise.
sometimes this is where it touches another plant or the cage but not always
help bell pepper one side rot- black
I too am having the same problem. Waiting for advice/suggestions for next year. Thanks for asking the question.
I posted my question on the Peppers forum.
I wonder if it isn't the nature of bell peppers in our climates. The nights get cooler before the bell peppers have time to change completely. I think the coolness and extra moisture hasten the rotting or attract disease - I don't really know. I have given up getting the orange, yellow and red bells so pick them when they are big and crispy green. Then I stuff them!
