One more of the vultures.
Daily Bird Pics Vol. 343
Great shots everyone!
Thanks for the new thread Al and for all of your awesome shots!
Hack..Nice shots and such a great variety of birds. I have recently heard the Carolina Wren in the yard but have not seen it yet!
Nanny...Your BlueJay looks like ours...molting and/or feather mites.
Burn...Wow, I've never seen a Raven and yours is a beauty.
Elphabe...I love the Cuckoo and the Warbler...both have eluded me this year.
GP...I wonder the smve thing about your Painted Buntings.
Burd...Nice shots and congrats on your first of an Osprey.
Margaret..What a gorgeous Lorikeet..such stunning colors.
Took this shot a few days ago in an area on the farm that the birds just love. It is a female or juvie Prairie Warbler...a first!!
Congratulations on the new bird Rose! Lovely photos!
Lol Margaret, you've caught my french accent. Oh la,la Bleu (blue). Hope that 28 gets the nest cavity.
Thanks everyone, for the nice comments.
Elphaba, love looking at your not so common birds, you have.
Burd , love how you caught the Cardinal's tail on that tree. Cute baby face on the Goldfinch too. Congratulation on the Osprey.
Duc, lovely,lovely shots.
Rose, Congratulation on the Prairie Warbler. I was looking in my book today, for the Warblers. I was wondering, if that one was in my area. But it's not. :( . DH must be glad to see those birds enjoying the strip, he planted for them.
I got a blurry picture of a Warbler, I think it's a female Magnolia Warbler.
Burn, I love that warbler!
Rose, congrats! I'm amazed that you got such a fabulous photo the first time you saw one. Usually, my firsts are barely good enough for ID purposes. That's bird book quality.
Duc, really cool vultures shots!
Burd, I just love the colors on that female cardinal. Really nicely done.
Margaret, you kill me with your birds -- not as colorful indeed!
Wish this pic were better, but had to share anyway. I'm still going through my pics from today, but had to ask -- what is this heron doing? -- yoga? -- downward facing dog? -- checking to see if her butt looks fat?
That's good Elphaba, and very amusing. Wish I knew what he's up too.
Duc...those Bitterns are such cool looking birds and I would just love to see one. Your shots of the Egret and Heron are beautiful..as always! Your shots of the Turkey Vultures reminded me that I got some shots of a juvie TV yesterday at Truman Dam.
Burn...I don't think I've ever seen a Magnolia Warbler, yours is real pretty. I am on the lookout for Warblers and think I saw several Yellow ones in the trees but no camera. Love your little Dee but please ask your Grackles to not migrate this year!!
Elphaba...LOL...I wonder also what is going on with that Heron...nice catch!
Here is the juvie Turkey Vulture from yesterday.
Beautiful Prairie Warbler Rose. I've been waiting for some to come through here but so far nothing. The Illinois bird report that I subscribe has tons of people seeing them. One man said that he went birding today and had 21 species of warblers by 8:30 a.m.! Guess I have to get out earlier. I usually have a couple here and there in the fall. So, Burd, you better get to your warbler spot!!!
Burn, I saw that "Bleu" too. So funny because when I read your posts I try to remember to read it with a french accent. LOL. I always wind up sticking in the name of a wine and cheese too!
Elphalba when I saw that picture, I started saying "what the heck" too before I even read! That is way beyond belly button inspection.
Well I upgraded the chickadee watering dish and I think they were a bit confused for a bit, but seem to make return trips so I guess it's a go!
Rose congrats on your first Prairie Warbler-sure is a pretty one. Cute pictures of the juvies too. Your young tv is great. I've seen only one here so far and was hoping to see the younger ones that were all fuzzy.
Burn your warbler is cute and that chickadee sure is giving you the "look". Love that blue on the grackle.
Elphaba, lol on your heron.
Mrs Ed, nice upgrade!!
Here's one of many Bushtits I found on another bird walk at our state park. I couldn't believe all the trees were already changing colors in the higher elevations.
Love the Warbler burn!
Neat yoga Heron Elphaba!
Rose, Good shots of the Vulture!
Pretty new bird bath Mrs Ed!
Duc, I love those Bushtits! Good find on the Nuttall's Woodpecker!
Nice shots GP! Love the Ibis!
Great photos GP, love that Ibis with the dove-so cute!
Nanny...see what I mean about our Blue Jays?!!
LOL!!!! Yes...we have lots that look like that righ now! Not as bald as the cardinals ...but almost!
Great Pics ...way too many to comment on but I enjoyed all of them!

Great shot of the Cape May Warbler, GP. So nice of him to pose for you. They are not easy birds to photograph. Congratulation on your 2 new birds. That Ibis and Dove seem to be in deep conversation. ;)
Mrs-Ed what a nice shiny dish. and pretty one too. Lol on your attempt trying to read with the french accent, and the wine and cheese..
Duc, Hard to believe, the trees are already changing in the elevation in your area. I thought it would have been more in 2 to 3 months from now, for you. Love that cutie of a Bushtit. Nice picture of the Nuttals woodpecker and Herons.
Aww Rose, that last poor TV seem to need someone to love him, and lift his spirit up.
Duc want to see one really giving me the look ;)
Nanny, it must be the bird bath, attracting the Flicker and all.
