I need to transplant two hellebore plants, and I'd be grateful for any advice. I keep reading that you should never transplant hellebore, but they can't stay where they are. I think one is probably "Lenten Rose," and the other has big balls of small flowers (almost like hydrangea).
Would it be better to do it in September, or wait until early Spring? Any tips on how to do it right?
Thanks very much!
transplanting hellebore
I actually transplanted mine last year the end of June and they are doing great. I think either fall or spring would work.
I have transplanted hellebore at any time I knew there would be sufficient water available. Otherwise stick to fall or spring. They don't seem to be a difficult plant for transplanting
Thanks - this is encouraging!
