I have some problems with my Meyer Lemon tree. The blossoms keep falling off. They bloom and with in the next two days they fall off. I bought the tree at a local nursery and the tips of the older leaves were a little yellow. I have pictures from when it opened all of the blooms at once. What am I doing wrong? It has sandy soil and I am watering it every few days.
Meyer Lemon Tree Problems
kirianna, the disoloration is a micronutrient deficiency... most likely from root damage.. check roots if brown, let dry out, drench with either copper or Banrot (preferred). Apply 2 TBS slow release fertilizer with micronutrients and it will start to hold buds and fruit in about six weeks. Although your tree is too small and not well developed. It would be better to continue to cut off all blooms until you have a little more size in her.. Remember citrus loves full sun water but does not like to sit with wet feet.(roots)
