I would like to know if there is a permanent way to keep Paw Paw trees from producing new trees by means of suckering. We have several trees that are about eight years old. They have not produced any fruit as yet. One of the trees has about twenty plus shoots that have grown to about two feet. The others are not far behind.
I have chopped many others out. This has not been a permanent solution. Has anyone had sucess in permanently keeping this from happening?
