I am looking at purchasing about 6 acres next door and I heard there is a tax lien on the property...That would be FEDERAL Tax lien. Does anyone know how that works. I used to search titles but I do not ever remember finding a Federal Tax Lien on any of the ones I searched. If anyone knows how that works, please dmail me privately and let me know. Thanks.
Today is shipping day. Yes, the temperature is now 70 but is expected to go up to 90. I am going to bite the bullet and ship anyway. I must get these plants out of the greenhouse.
The rest of the week I am bringing in plants before I get caught with the temps dropping overnight and they get shocked.
Have a good day you all and pray for some rain. All these tropical storms everywhere but here. where are they when you need them. LOL Hugs. JB
Plant propagation part XX based on my own experience
No Sharon, don't expect me to give any advice about growing plants in Spokane. It has been too many years since I have lived there. Even just 100 miles away there is a zone difference in our plants. I would not even attempt to help you and your son. Maybe, since the previous owners were with the Master Gardners, you should start there. By contacting the WSU Extension office.
Hope you find what you are after JB.
Dawn, I finally got your seeds sent. I hope they didn't get run over. They didn't appear so. I had them all taped up and didn't want to undo them again.
Linda, I really envy you your time with your mom. You both went thru so much that you deserve every minute now.
Sidney, I think I am going to order some 38" triangle boxes and then look at the cd they sent me. Should be interesting. I do not remember any 38" boxes. I will have to look at them in the basement.
Thanks Jeanette. If I had the time from my job that I could take off, I would offer to go with you and see my sister's new house, she would die of joy. I hate to have people feel under a time constraint and hate to be on one though, unfortunately I would have one so........much for that. I want to see pictures though. A yard from two Master Gardeners must be a tour in it's own right.
Sharon, you must be so excited. Just the thought of seeing your new grandchild ... and then having the opportunity to dabble with different varities of plants .... how exciting!
Rain outlook here is on the bleak side.
Mary
Dawn, I am telling you that we are about 400 miles from where your sister moved to. If it were not for that it would be very nice to meet your sister and see her new house. But, I doubt she would welcome meeting people when she isn't even moved in yet.
Sharon, I think your son needs a gardener and I am sure those people who showed up as a welcoming group would know of several. Have you suggested that to him? Gardeners know what plants in the area need. He does not want to let it go too long or the pruning alone will be a big job with all this rain and cool weather we are having.
But then maybe they are not getting the rain down there that we are. That is possible. Also, I keep forgetting Spokane is not like Seattle. In Seattle you would prune year around. Almost. Spokane is 4 seasons.
Well, we woke up to rain this morning. And then Thunder. And then more rain. We had rain off and on for about two hours. The air smelled so great.
Mary, I have seen my new grandson many times. He will be one year old on November 2nd.
Jnette, he has the former owners number, they moved to California and he has a gardener. He just want to learn. I was just joking about coming up and getting you. Just using that as an excuse to visit you.
I have a bunch of gardening tomorrow and everything is ready so it will just be planting. Suppose to be in high 80s. All is well.
DH has a racing heart. So they have given him new medication. He has to wear the monitor again in 3 weeks. If it is still racing, he will need a pace maker. All in all, that is good news. He also has outer lung inflammation and is in pain from that. But he really ate his dinner I made this evening so I think he feels better just knowing why he has been feeling so tired. The cardiologist gave us a name of a new Internist after I complained about the one we have. I think that will be a good change.
Got to go to bed so later friends.
Sharon, it isn't that I would not like to see you guys, but when you say you are going to rent a car and swing by and get me, and Dawn wants to go visit her sister with me, it makes me think you guys don't realize how far away I am from everyone. LOL, and then you say you haven't driven farther than 25 miles in a long time????
Sharon, I didn't think Vern was going to the dr. until today but then went back and looked at the dates on your posts and discovered it was just late in the evening when you had said tomorrow so I was a day off.
I guess it always makes you feel better knowing there was a reason for your feeling as bad as you do. At least it makes you hope there is something they can do that will make you feel better. So, how long did the dr. think it would take to get him over the bad lung? Poor guy, 3 weeks seems forever if your heart is revving up I would think. A pace maker might make all the difference in the world to him.
How long had he been going to the internist that he didn't like? Is he a new dr? New to him? Well, glad he's on the mend so to speak.
Right now our sun is shining for a little bit and I do see some blue sky up there. My daughter and sil are due in today for a week so please wish for nice weather for them. It sure would be nice if they could go fishing this time. They were here in June and it rained and was so miserable all the time they were here that they didn't even break the poles out.
Sharon does your son like to fish? We have some really nice lakes on this side of the state so it would be nice if they could take advantage of them. Did you say they ski? They would just be about 25 miles from Mt. Spokane ski resort and another 75 miles or so from Sweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Well, the house looks like a hurricane hit it since Bob has been painting in here. So better get busy. It is a 6 hour drive from Seattle so they should get in about 3:30 and it is going to take me that long to put it back together again besides find something for dinner.
Then Bob is going over to Seattle tomorrow to visit his mom for a few days while Robin and family are here.
I am going to begin getting the shipping labels and packages ready for shipping your Black Pussy Willows next Tuesday for sure. The following people have sent me their addresses and have requested at least one BPW. If this is not correct, please let me know ASAP: If I missed anyone please let me know.

I will send you all one for sure...........I lost so many this past week from the heat I am not sure how many I have left. If I have more, I will send you two.....Not sure that will be possible but there is always next year and I can always send cuttings that are not rooted if you want to try that in the Spring. Let me get these plants to you now and we will go from there. I apologize for the delay, I just could not do it sooner. Hugs. JB

Jeanette: I did not expectyouto winter a brug over for me. I was curious on if it would be best to get one now or wait for spring? I am sorry my emails are rough. I have been having trouble lately with communications and just plain oldstuff...I'm so confused. I am betting the weather fronts have a lot to do with it.
