Too much pruning

Temecula, CA

Can someone help me. I think I pruned my tomato plants too much. The branches are now withering. Is there anything I can do? Please help/

Without a photo, it's hard to tell if over-pruning is the problem, if you're underwatering, or if your tomatoes have contracted a disease. Withering foliage is a symptom of fusarium wilt, verticillium wilt, and bacterial wilt.

If the withering impacts one side of the plant, it could be fusarium wilt.
If the wilt starts at the bottom and moves up the plant, verticillium wilt is a good bet.
If the leaves and stems remain green and the entire plant withers, it's likely to be bacterial wilt.
If you water the plant and it revives after several hours, your problem could be underwatering.

My yellow boy tomato plant is not doing well. I did post a photo on this site, I just don't know where it's at. I don't think it's either of the three problems mentioned above. I think I just over pruned and now it seems as if the plant is dying. Can I salvage it somehow? Can a cut off one of the better branches and replant it? If so, how do I do it? Please help.

Thank you
George
