Does anyone know the bloom date of an apple variety named Cinnamon Spice here in West-Central Florida?
As low-chill apple varieties are new to the area, having just become available the past 2-3 years, much is unknown.
The 3 main low-chill apple varieties are "Anna", "Dorsett Golden", and "Ein Schemer". "Tropic Snow" is even newer, having just been released by the University of Florida breeding program. However, there is a variety named "Cinnamon Spice" available at just 2 nurseries (that I'm aware of after much searching). It is said to be a later apple than the above named varieties-but unknown is if that is bloom time or maturation time. Thought to need more chill units than the above, at up to 400.
Has anyone grown this apple in West-Central Florida?
