Hi,
I'm new to DG and would appreciate any help in how and when do I prune a palm tree.
pruning a palm tree help
Since you're a subscriber you might try asking in the palms & cycads forum--you'll find more palm experts there. That being said, I don't believe that you're really supposed to prune palm trees. If it's one of the ones that has fronds die off over time and form a "skirt" on the trunk of the tree you can choose to cut those dead fronds off or leave them be depending on what look you prefer, but I don't think you can really do any pruning besides that.
ecrane3: Thank you. I did post this question in Palms & Cycads. I did not see that forum until after I posted under Beginner Gardener (which is what I am anyway). Actually, I think I have have outdone myself and put my question in Beginning Landscaping also. Guess I was on a roll!
