Japanese fall anemones-white or pink

Geneva, NY

I have several large groupings of white fall anemones and one small group of pink ones which are separated from the white ones-i.e. white in the front yard and the pink in the back. But this year all of the white anemones turned pink! We live in the Finger Lakes of New York State and the summer has been unusually hot and humid. Otherwise, what's up?

MKNY - At least your fall anemones are flowering! I've had mine in the ground for 2 years now, having planted them when they were blooming in the fall, and have had no flowers since. What's your secret?
