The wrong attitude

Plantersville, TX(Zone 9a)

Most often plants can feel when people come out to check on their gardens with grumphy attitudes. Try smiling when you visit your plants, & they will smile back at you.

I find that when I'm grumpy -- or more likely just plain pissed off about something -- the garden is my cure!

Weedwacker I agree. No matter what has happen during the day when I go out to my garden in the late afternoon I find peace and happiness. I can feel tired and worn out, but when I go to the garden I'm energized and sometimes I do so much that I feel a little sore the next day. I love my garden and would rather be out there than inside doing house work. Ooops, now you know what the inside of my house looks like.

ROFL ! A woman after my own heart... housework only gets done around here:

1. If it's raining or snowing outside
2. If we have company coming (quick, all hands on deck!)
3. If we're having an appraisal of our house, which happened recently because we had to refinance, with a balloon on our last mortgage (throw all those heaps of stuff into the garbage or the closet!)
4. If the pet hair is flying around and getting into our food and drink, we pull out the vacuum (with 2 long-haired dogs and 2 cats, this does have to happen pretty frequently but is fortunately the one thing DH will do without being begged)

Thank goodness for a dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer!!

I'm with you. I just wish my DH would vacuum!

No wonder we all frequent Dave's Garden! Working outside is soooo much more fun and enjoyable than housework :-}
