WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE BRIQUETTE ASHES ARE OK TO PUT INTO MY GARDEN SOIL?
SOME SAY OK AND OTHERS SAY 'NO'.
I HAVE READ AND KNOW ABOUT THE 'WOOD' ASHES.
THANKS.
charcoal briquette ashes
Ashes are highly alkaline and can raise your pH too high so use them sparingly. Most plants prefer a slightly acidic soil. Also, there may be undesirable chemicals in briquettes so I would use them anywhere near plants that you plan to eat from.
On an unrelated note, using all caps is considered by most online forum users to be like shouting. Some older members reply that they have a difficult time reading lowercase letters so I will also suggest that in that case, click the "view" button at the top of your browser and use the zoom tool to make the print larger on your screen :)
