question - I can't just cut the blight part off a tomato and eat it?
Edibles '10 - Part 3
No!!! ewwwwww
Don't know how deep the spores go...could be right through the tomato......
SIGH!
Ate it already??
i "thought" i heard it does not hurt to eat t's with blight
Of course. Tasted OK. I just hate to waste things...
You should not eat any food that has any type of disease, mold, etc on it, excluding hard cheese(just cut the mold off)
i like to build up my ammune system that way
I love maggots with beer.
ewwww ewwwww and ewwwwww!!!!
What?? Only fresh ones!!
beers or maggots?
Fresh maggots with stale beer.
GROSS
I always eat stuff by just cutting the bad spots off and I haven't died yet. At least I don't think I have.
Okay something I have never heard of Cat. Are they like little chestnuts and do you roast them or eat them raw?
Yes, and both. I haven't tried eating them yet.
Yes, they have an outer shell like a chestnut...let us know how they taste!
oh how cool
Pixie, your produce looks amazing!
Yes!
Thanks Robin & Victor, it's 32 here right now...hope covering them work again last night!
it does look great celeste - mine is about done - canned 4 more jars of t's last night - need to start eating leeks
I know your address.....LOL! Leek soup...yum!
I am SO in for leek soup. I heard a very funky weird thing that was done for our Turkey Day with brussell sprouts. Steam them in maple syrup. Has any one tried it?
Ha! Googleguy has tons of brussel sprouts/maple syrup receipes. So obviously not funky weird at all.
I love potato and leek soup. Best I ever had was near work at Columbia.
i need to make a big batch this weekend
Send some here! I would always go in this store and say, 'I'll take a Leek.' They would always have at least two soups to choose from.
two different leek soups? have to look up some recipe's
No - two different soups.
yup soup season has arrived
