Pixie!!Its so nice to see your lilies now that everyones are done.
It reminds me alot of 'Brazilla', the white turns pink as it ages. It's like having 2-3 different lillies in one. ^_^
we crossed.
The last 2 are fantastic.Garden Party is so stately.
Everything is looking wonderful, Grandpa Otts (or its similiar strain), and the close-up on the HB Moth shows the transparency of its wings...you can see the flower colors thru the wings!
I only have 2 sedum, 'Carmen" which is light green foliage, and the flowers start out white then turns dark pink/red. The other one I have no idea what it is as it was given to me as a noid.
Love the Lilies! Those dark Sedum are neat. :) This is the first year I've had any luck with morning glories. They were Grandpa Ots. Guess those are an old reliable. They grew by themselves from reseeding.
Cool!
What IS with the weather in Maine anyway? You have a lot os early summer blooming there Pixie, and only 1 Zone away.Your lilies are so nice.
My MG's are Grama Ots. Such a nice departure from the regular blue ones.
I think it's the cool nights here lately...we haven't had many nights that were 60 or better. Right now it's only 59.
Strange though...our waters are warmer than normal and the Rip Tides are stronger and more frequent. This make me nrevous as the hurricane season approaches.....perfect conditions for one to come to Maine!!
In OOB (Old Orchard Beach) alone, they have had 93 Life Guard rescues this year compared to the normal 20-30.
Holicow. My poppies left in early July.
Its a strange weather year all around.
Yep, strange weather patterns...and it does indeed make me a little concerned about "Hurricane Season" next month.
But I will enjoy today's blooms before any bad news befalls me...there are just some things we can't control !!!
nice celeste will have to think about adding a dl mix into beds.
I've finally caught up....all of the hibiscus blooms are awesome...still waiting for mine. Drooling over Pixie's dark DLs &Victor's Pokomoke crape was also a fav....and JoAnn's coral bells Mint Julep is going on my wish list! Great photo of spider web, & HM....my gardens are so weedy I'm embarrassed to take photos.
Speaking of gaudy.
