Joe'swife, I like that Lind..I've never grown that, is it hardy for you there? I know what you mean about missing your daughter, I miss mine too.

Helena, that is a nice red one, or is it Dark Pink?

Pony, maybe Becky went back to work? I know she has been busy with all her lovelies.

A.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, nice lindheimeri a wonderful species.
Beautiful almost red Helena. Is it Scarlett O'Hara?

Gautier, MS

Antoinette the color of that bloom is dark pink.

Thanks Jackie, the label says its Dainagon so no it's not Scarlet O'Hara. It might be a cross from seed I grew in 2008. I like the bloom a lot.

This is from Dany's Purple stripes. What color do you see cause my camera & computer are showing blue. It was a really pretty purple color!

My camera used to do that too. Only on the purples, isn't it strange, I wonder if that color has something to do with how the camera relays it to the visual eye?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

The Dainagon is very pretty Helena. I like it too.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Well now that I am back here is the very first bloom and all that I know is that it is one of hers I will send out the name.

Some really pretty blooms, Ladies! I like them all!

Nice surprise to come back home to!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I love that red one too. I have a problem with my colors as well. James, that bloom is awsome. I agree, A has some beautiful crosses, she is really good at crossing. I have only tried a couple times on MGs, but I do it alot with 4 o'clocks.
The I. lind is a caudex I started from Emmas seed two years ago. Like the i. plantesis, it couldn't wait to get outside this summer. It is going crazy growing all over the place and I let it do that. I will have to cut it back and start over. As I do every winter with most of my non kansas plants. ugh. but worth it. so much of my stuff is growing thru the nieghbors yard. he just mowed it all down on his side. thats okay, it started from my side. good thing my precious babies are on the side where the plastic liner is.

Here are a few of mine from this morning. Some old, same ones, just new blooms! LOL!

Jackie's crossed Fuji no Sora NOID. I absolutely love this one! I just got another bag of soil, so hope to get it potted up tomorrow into a bucket! Stunning colors in the blooms. Thank U, Jackie! Nice large colorful blooms! :-)

Debra - Those I. purpureas are beautiful all blooming! I love that the I. purpurea vines have so many blooms at once!

Pink Delight (my name for this vine) is showing a blizzard pattern. Shall be interesting to see what develops in future blooms.

What was your dream when you imagined this cross?
Maybe the blue Ten Ten!
How can you be sure that there was interbreeding?

Debra, a beauty!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks James.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thank you so much. I can't wait to see your picture, James.
Jackie, this is a volunteer. The plants that grew on this fence last year were Roman Candy, SOH, Rebecca, Jaimie lynn, Ronnies Lav/Blue I purp, pink i. purp, messina creeper, setosa, lobata, cypress vine red, and that is it.
Really looks like the dark pink/red colour of the soh I had last year. The five seeds from 5 sources/ people I planted are all starting to bloom. The north fence was mine. Those are all blooming again except setosa. Next year there will be more corsses I hope from the ones that are new this year on the eastern section of the north fence. Down in the west end of that fence, I added a few different I purp seeds from the swap and a packet. The vine cuttings from the rambling big leafed morning glory are all rooted. the black five fingered i. batata that broke is also rooted, and the i. plantesis is nubbed. The stictocardia did not root. I have enough to try again. will try in a bag this time, instead the outside water tub.
Well this one was water logged.. sorry.

Lovely blooms Helena. That small pink star bloom looks familiar.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I like it alot. I have alot of stuff just getting going, and I was thrilled to see this little blue one from the mg swap.

I trimmed back the messina creeper patch on the north fence, alot of volunteers of that one, and then found this that I planted from my own 2009 seeds of Miko No Mai..

The Miko no Mai is beautiful Debra.

Thanks to all!

Jackie - Interesting bloom you have in that first post. The cross apparently didn't come true or was crossed once again. Pretty color of blue though. Unusual. Again - I love your weird Sazanami!!!

Helena - Beautiful array of vines and stunning blooms! As always, so lovely to see!

Debra - Very lovely, rich colors on your blooms! Always a pleasure to see. :-) Am enjoying your seed soaking display! Cute idea! ;-) Love your Miko no Mai!!! Amazing how different everyone's Mikos look. All of them are superb!

Dany - The cross of Fuji Shibori x Ten Ten does not look like the typical Fuji Shibori even though it has many of it's characteristics. This one has smaller, very round, and sturdy blooms. Another thing that got my attention was it was growing straight UP! Usually the larger I. nil vines drape, this one does not! It wants to grow straight up like Ten Ten. It will be interesting to see what the seeds (F1) produce! But I think you misunderstood, this is Antoinette's cross not mine. Isn't it wonderful!? :-)
