This is my first time growing this variety of eggplant and I am so glad that I did. They are adorable, tasty, and prolific. (Stems are prickly, though.)

Those are gorgeous! How do they taste compared to regular varieties like Black Beauty? How long does it take to grow them?

I'm gearing up for a fall crop and wonder if I have time to sow some eggplant seeds? We'll have heat until late October or so...

Gymgirl: It is similar to Black Beauty and holds up pretty well when grilled, fried, and sauteed.

Edited to add: I didn't start them from seed. From planting to as shown in photo...8 weeks.
