Question About Sprout Rate

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

5 days ago, I planted corn, okra, yellow squash and eggplant. Today I noticed I had some sprouts. of the 48 corn, I have about 8 sprouts, out of 6 squash are 4 sprouts and out of 9 okra are 2 sprouts... as of yet there are no eggplant.

my question is, is it normal for seeds of the same type (corn for example) to sprout at different rates? how long should I wait before replanting what hasnt sprouted?

You will always get some variation in germination rates.
A few seeds germinate early and a few late, but most come around the same rate.
There are variations too depending on the plant.
Eggplant may be one which takes longer.

For most seeds of annuals and veges---two or three weeks at warmer temperatures.

thanks! so I'll wait about two more weeks and I'll know what needs to be replanted!

Your growing season probably allows for that---here there is not much more time!
( before frost)
