Hi all,
This is my first message on this forum. I live in the desert SW, moved here recently. I started eggplant seedlings back in June (I know bad time..) and while they're still alive, they do not grow!! When I transplanted them to their containers back in June, they got whiteflies right away... I used insecticidal soap and aluminum foil and I think I got control of them. They got some new leaves but they are so small and the old leaves get yellow in spots and then die progressively. It is a SLOW process and these little seedlings are still not dead but not progressing. We are still having triple digit weather. I don't know if the seedlings could never take off because of the heat or the whiteflies stunted it, or I overwatered...I'm at a loss.
Is there anything I can do to save them? Also, does verticillium wilt affect plants in soil that I bought prepackaged at Walmart or HD? Thanks!

eggplant seedlings do not grow!
My eggplants either sulk and do nothing for months or they grow and produce like crazy. In my limited experience with them, they are hardy plants and can be transplanted and RE-transplanted.
Not sure how big your seedlings are and how they're looking to be of much help. Could you post a picture?
