Hi, one of my family members recently bought a peace lily. i'd like to grow one from seed. I am aware that this is a slow way of growing a peace lily but I want to do it anyways. Now, do i plant the pod when its ripe (black) or do I scrape the little spikes off of the pod? Also, the original peace lily that we bought came with a ton of flowers and eventually we cut them off because they were dying and did it so new flowers can come out, I can see 2 coming out, 1 of them the pod is white but the flower is green, its still somewhat small though, and the other flower is weird, instead of having 1 flower that goes behind the pod, its 2. Is something wrong with my lily? Look at the 2 pictues below to see what I mean.

Peace lily questions!!! I'm a beginner :p
Found this info for you...
Peace Lilies seeds are located on the green structure (pod) that appears in the middle of the flower. Wait until the pods turn brown (then black) before cutting them off. Use tweezers or a nail file to scrape the seeds off the pod for planting. You can cut the flower stem on your Peace Lily at the point where it emerges from the leaves. Starting Peace Lily seedlings this way is a slow process, and they will take several years to flower. Dividing the plant's roots is a much faster way of propagating them.
