I have tried to grow this from seed several times and each time the seeds have just rotted. Is this a common problem with this plant, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong ?
I place the seeds in a pot of seed medium/compost, dampen it and then wrap it in cling film to keep damp, as I do with all my seeds. I cover the seeds with about 1/8 inch of compost
Many thanks for any advice
Dominic
Beaumontia Grandiflora from seed
Sounds to me they are rotting because too much moisture causes fungus, It may be easier to leave off the plastic wrap and instead add a tiny bit of baby shampoo with your water not only will it keep fungus off your seed it will also allow the soil to stay wetter longer Good luck
Thankyou
