I live in Portugal and last week bought a beautiful Ruellia brittonia. I left it in the garage overnight and next day found all the flowers dead on the floor around the pot. I brought it outside and left it on a piece of damp ground and the next morning it was covered with flowers. During the afternoon, it dropped all its flowers again and the tips of the stems began drooping. I watered it well and the flowers grew again overnight but dropped the next afternoon. I planted it in the garden but each day, late afternoon, it drops every single flower but is covered in new flowers in the morning. I can find no mention of this on any site I have visited which talks about the care of ruellias but I feel sure someone on this site can help me.
Does anyone's Ruellia brittonia drop its flowers every day?
