Does anyone have any advice on caring for and growing an ornamental sweet potato vine? Also, do they produce tubers or not? This is a new plant for me!!

My first time with them too. I have a beautiful variegated one (green, pink and white) in my hanging petunia basket that I wanted to make into a houseplant. Can I do that? Will it root in water?

I did the tuber in water thing, it didn't work but I wasn't good about changing the water, and it got moldy.
