What's in full bloom now? JULY 15-31 2010

Butterfly bush just popped out this weekend. It smells glorious right now. This makes an arch above my daylily garden, and I prune right away when it is done blooming or it starts to sag until I can't even duck under it any longer.

My hydrangea just popped out as well. It looks good from afar, but the poor thing is in too much sun so when it is hot like this it is pretty wilted looking up close.

Julie your open DL is a "skydiver" , looks like someone ready to join up in a circle while falling from a plane. Nice.

Kathy, If you ever came out this direction when the daylilies were in full bloom, you would have a new addiction for sure. They are so varied in color and shape... if I ever had to pick "just a few" of mine to keep (I have roughly 400 registered varities, about 150 bloomed seedlings and about 450 unbloomed seedlings) I would go insane!

Your butterfly bush looks great. Is it really that blue or is that just the camera. Mine has more purple in it. It's been blooming a while and is almost bloomed out and ready for pruning. Hydrangeas have been in full bloom for at least 2 weeks. Hollyhocks still haven't opened tho.
My limoniun opened about 2 weeks ago.

Trying to think what else. Oh, the dandelions are dying out, and the buttercup is back to all green, no more yellow.

'Weed' daisies are all out this week and sweet williams came out about 1 weeks ago.

Astilbe just opened. Filapendula opened last week. Agastache golden jubilee opened up last week and looked fabulous (still in pot).

Still waiting on all the phlox. It's green and healthy, but not even any buds yet.

Snapdragons are going to open any time now.

Julie, that last DL is stunning (not that the others are less so, but that one really caught my eye). Do you also get to name them? How fun.

Hostas are in full bloom here.

And another one. The rest have been eaten or puppy crushed.

Pretty hostas. :) Mine are already over and done with...

Here's my Oakleaf, who seems quite happy here.

Here's most of the north garden in the front of my house. A hummingbird came through just before the shot.

Here are 2 varieties of Shasta daisies, a single and a double form.

Here is the most southern of the gardens, which is not very competitive this year. Echinacea in a single and double form, and some Helenium in the background.

My phlox are now starting to bloom. Here is a pink one with rose Savoy Hotel.

Yay phlox! I'm finally getting buds on mine. Took long enough! (David being the exception- he's almost done now)

And the standard purple phlox with daylily Burgandy Sister.
