What's in full bloom now? JULY 15-31 2010

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

It looks fantastic, Lynn. Nice job!

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Ah, yes. You should see Lynn's garden in person. Everything is SO healthy and put together SO nicely.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

You are making me blush, thanks.

Here is a panorama picture of the new garden area between the sidewalk and the driveway.

I LOVE the new camera. Gwen, we will have to play with so I can learn to use it!

Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea. It hasn't changed colors to pink, yet. But it is still pretty.

All your hard work has really paid off, Lynn. Your place looks amazing. :)

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I had a lot of things reseed and perennials that came back. Also, this is the 3rd year for a lot of the shrubs. I started a ton of things from seeds. This is the first year that I have not spent a small fortune on annuals, yeah! Thanks to everyone's generosity, the gardens are filling up. I have things to share with you all now!

Self sowed calendula. It is rather prolific!

Does anyone know what this white lacy plant is? Is it a weed?

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Driveway gardens. Don't look at the weeds, or the dirty dway!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Is that white lacy one Queen Anne's Lace?

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

That is what I was wondering. It is everywhere. Joey said it is pretty, so I hope it is not a weed in disguise.

Wow, Lynn, your garden has really grown up!

We still haven't gotten our car back. In fact, the new transmission hasn't even arrived. I'm so mad at them. They're supposed to track it tomorrow morning. I had to phone today and suggest they might want to do that. Then they'll let me know timing. Really mad at Mazda. A car that new should NOT be needing a new tranny. I won't be ever buying another Mazda!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Well, Queen Anne's Lace is a weed to some, a keeper to others. I guess it just depends on if you like it. :)

Gwen, how frustrating. I hope they get it done soon!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Oh Gwen, I would be hopping mad at that shop.

Will you need to postpone your visit? I have a Dr visit Thursday at 10:15.

Bring a rubbermaid container or buckets with lids, and we can go get you some Tagro. You will LOVE it. Don't you agree, Pony, Pixy, Rarejem, and PNW Mtngirl?

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

You should get lots of humming birds with that Agastache. I love your driveway beds and your Calendula. Mine didn't come back this year and I didn't get seeds. I love their cheery little faces!!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I have lots of seeds left from last year, and it looks like I will have a TON of seeds again this year. I can send you some.

My Marble Arch Rose Salvia reseeded itself also.

Tagro RULES! Best stuff ever!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Lucky girl. I usually rot salvia out.

I'll take seeds, Lynn. I have white Agastache and Blue Fortune, but the stands aren't as healthy as yours. I just don't get that much sun, I guess!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I wintersowed the seeds in milk jugs and planted them out in hunks. I started them around Feb and put the milk jugs outside and left them alone until the weather was warming and I got germination. Then I just watched to make sure that they didn't get too hot and dried out before I planted them. (I still have stuff that I haven't planted out.)

I will send you seeds. When do you want them? I would love to have some of your White and Blue Fortune seeds, if you collect any.

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

Most likely I will not arrive until well after your dr visit. That's IF I ever get my car back. If I get it back, I'll prolly leave here around 2:30 or 3:30pm.

I love Queen Anne's Lace, it is so pretty. But it is invasive in the PNW. I was going to get some seeds and my neighbor stopped me - QAL takes over wild areas and forces out some natives. But it is so pretty!

I have the same things blooming as the rest of you, but I take bad photos so I won't post any repeats. BUT I do have this!

And it is ???

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

So many beautiful flowers and gardens to look at. More inspiration if I ever find my 100 acre woods....

This DL stopped me in my tracks when I saw it yesterday. The color is so rich. The marker has faded so no clue what it is.

These holly hocks showed up and I am glad they did. They are so pretty.

It's a pineapple lily Gwen, and don't ask me for the fancy name! It's 6 inches taller today.

(Sharon)SouthPrairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Bea, does the name "Forever Red" or "Red Volunteer" ring a bell for that gorgeous red daylily? Both are like that. Gorgeous.

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

Bea, stunning phlowers and fotos!

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Thanks Sharon. I remember buying red volunteer and I looked on Tinkers and I think you are correct. Yeah!

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Lynn and Bea WOW! Nice gardens at my DG friends!
I don't think that is queen anne lace it is too fine and tall. But maybe it is from something people eat with all of the Telagro you use. LOL

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

I have been messing around more with my family and vege garden this year, so the flowers are a bit weedy, but check out Clematis 'Polish Spirit' I got it for its color, but being 50% Polish, I could not resist.

Queen Anne Lace gets that way over here when it gets good dirt and water. I had some that grew 4 feet tall. The Pineapple Lily is 'Eucomis'. The purple variety. Mine died last year but my DS is going to give me some bulbs this fall. Mine was the green one.

Beautiful flowers everyone.

Really pretty clematis. I have some pale blue ones but they look all washed from the sun.

Cedarhome, WA(Zone 8b)

Beahive, that is a gorgeous hollyhock and not a double (a bonus for me with the rain). If you get any seeds from it, let me know.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I bought 7 clematis for 25 bucks. I shall plant many trees with clematis. I love Box stores in Bellevue!

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Bonehead..will do on the holly hock seeds..

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Buddleia in full bloom. The bees and hummers love it.
