I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with planting peach seeds or if this is even possible. The peaches from Sam's Club are wonderful and I would love to have trees if I could. Thanks!
PLANTING PEACH SEEDS
I've planted peach pits before--they seem to sprout pretty easily (I just stuck them in a pot and watered them, no special treatment). The catch is that they won't necessarily come true from seed, so the peaches you get may not taste as good as the ones you bought. So if you want to do it for the fun of it then go for it, but if you're going for the best tasting peaches you might be better off buying a tree instead so you know what you'll get.
I agree with ecrane3, however I believe what he meant to say and I feel should be elaborated is that you should buy a "grafted" tree, which holds the characteristics of the host plant.
