We have two plum tomato plant tat are loaded with plum size tomato's but none are starting to turn red yet. When can we expect to see them turning red. They have been growing for about 75 days.
Plum Tomato's
just be patient, they will turn red when they are ready! it takes as long as it takes!
LOL, I'm afraid prettymess is right! Do you know what variety the tomatoes are? Is that 75 days from seed or transplanting into the garden?

No, I don't know. I had read the tag and it said "plum tomato's" but it has been blown away sice I read it. They are from Bonnies plant farm in Chestertown Maryland.
FRom planting in the ground.

i may be a beginning gardener but I know that impatience won't make my garden grow faster!

Yup. They seem to be bigger then you might get at a salad bar or in the store but none have ripened as yet. I will try to be patient.
Thanks to all

I don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but up here (near the Arctic Circle) I didn't get ANY ripe tomatoes until September last year!
I'm pretty sure you'll be way ahead of that... and they will be worth the wait!
:-)

I miss spoke when I said 75 days. I put them in the ground on or about June 2nd. They were about 8 inches tall at the time.
The plant farm they came from is Bonnie plant farm, www.bonnieplants.com in Kennedyville, Md. They have plant farms all over the country.
After almost 2 months the Zukinni still have no fruit on them. We did get one pepper out of 2 pepper plants. Crookedneck squash did nothing. It looks like some kind of bug is eating holes in the leaves.
The tomato plants each have a dozen or more tomato's on them and they are finaly starting to turn red. Pateints is the word.
Thanks to all for the help,
tripplenickle
Triplenickle,
Has this always been your name? I vaguely recall someone who had a handle of "15 cents" somewhere in this Garden, and I called them Triplenickle in a discussion thread...

Tripplenickle was my CB handle when I was on the road. My last truck number was 555. With the company I worked for I was given 3 new trucks to drive in my 10 years with the company and they all were numbered with a 5 as the last number.
355, 455, 555. I was able to pick the number I wanted for the KW.
555 was a new 1977 cab over Kenworth. The rest were cab over GMC's.

The tomato plants weare a Bonnie Plant "Roma VF" type plant. About the 75 days I answered in anothe thread.
We have harvested 35 tomato's off of the plants and have quite a few buds still getting ready to produce tomato's.
