Lastly here's a shy sunflower with a funky do, trying to hide his face, yet sticking his tongue out to you.

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Beautiful flowers Tex!!!
Allison, do you use a bird cam or some such? Love the hummer, humming bird moth and Blue jay shots. You have quite a few swallow tails as well. Very nice.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nice lilies Tex,
Allison those hummer shots are fantastic!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I do have a bird cam... but those were taken with my regular camera... the bird cam does not trip to take the photos with the hummers... guess they are too small for the sensor

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

did you spot your Angelique Celeste?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

No, I was looking at the birds!! LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

It's been an amazing year for blooms, and you have all posted great pix.

Tex, your lilies are the best. Your other flowers are lovely as well. Your efforts have paid off. Are you plagued with lily beetle? If you are, what is your secret? I have to keep after them all the time and don't always succeed.

And onewish, I just love your hummingbird photos. I am not sure I've ever seen one in person.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am loving everyone's flowers, I hardly have anything going on here, seems the heat really did everything in.

Allison, great hummer shots!!!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Karen nice shot of 'Stargazer', one of my favs and just popping open today.
Onewish wonderful pics as usual. Beautiful butterflies, blue jays and cute little guy on a swing made me smile.
Tex lilies and roses are gorgeous. Specially liked 'Madame Butterfly',peek-a-boo sunflower and is clem Franziska really that blue?
JoAnn more nice combos of color from your garden. The second pot particularly is very nice even if it is sideways, the color and leaf combo is very pleasing to the eye.

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Great bird shots, Allison & Rama! Karen, those OT lilies are probably Conca d'or....the beetles haven't bothered them as much as the other lilies.

My glads started to bloom today....will try to paint some in class Tues., but glads can be stiff-looking, so maybe not.....

That one's a beauty, Marilyn! I love glads. We never got ours planted this year. :(

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Love glads and those are very pretty. Maybe adding something softer will make them look more architectural instead of stiff in the painting. I think they would be nice in a picture either way.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Beautiful glads!!

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys. Marilyn, like the color on those glads.
DB love the color on that day lily, pretty and vivid.
