Pretty glads and lilies girls. Pretty JoAnn. Is that the candy lily buds in the last couple of pics? Have HLB too, it is a nice color daylily.

Seems that heat just ended the majority of the flowers that were blooming.

So I went out into the heat to add a little fresh water to the birdbath afternoon and a moving branch caught my eye. Why is this stem moving when the wind is dead calm? Ah that's why. Can you see? There under the leaf.

Wish I had gotten a better pic, but when I went back to find him he had disappeared into the vegetation again. Here is another when I pulled back the leaf.

Yes I have never seen one, at least not realized it before. I was surprised how large it was, around three inches long. He was probably right there in front of me when I went back out to get a better pic but I could not find him. Strange little creatures.

Rama - that's a pretty mix there.....is that pink coreopsis? I have the yellow, but my pink ones never did well here. Are they more difficult for you?

Dbrook, the pink ones are freebie cosmos between blanket flowers and the poppies not coreopsis. I have a few jethro tull and the common variety coreopsis somewhere else.

Celeste......oh, be still my heart! My favs of that group are Wild Horses, Space Mountain and Triumphator! Can you tell I'm moving into my pink and white phase????LOL Does anyone else move in and out of color phases? I have done that with paint colors over the years too. I've gone through the pastel period, the bold colors, and now I'm in my sage and red stage of life. :)
