Those pine needles are in focus Hack! I'd never try manual b/c I just can't see well enough, so I'm impressed that you tried.
Awful Bird Pics Vol. 16
Elphaba, when I first saw it, it was in the brush. So, I took the lens off auto focus - I figured it wouldn't auto focus on the bird, but the vegetation in front of it. I was planning to manually get the focus close and then move the focus ring back and forth, while I shot the camera on "rapid fire" - thought maybe I'd get one decent shot.. But the dang thing hopped out into the open (and the lens was still on manual). I didn't get the do what I planned. One shutter snap and the rascal fly off. Yep, pine needles look good, but I never got the chance the "sweep" the focus forward to the thrasher.
After that, I put the lens back on auto and that is where it is now.

Holy cow! There are a lot of birds in that flock of blurs! Say that five times fast.
Starlings with a couple of Red-winged Blackbirds mixed in.
Shoot....I want to see a Northern Parula!
LOL Burd, that a real good shot of the Red-winged black bird. First one I see like it. And that flock of blurs amazingly bad.
Elphaba, such a nice back on your WP, nice bad shot of the Warbler.
Nanny that one was surely in a hurry, must of been late for something important.
All the pics i got of the Red-breasted Nuthatch came out blurry, only one I was able to fix a bit. This one was the baddest.
Everyone of those photo's are awful!! Great job everyone!
