Awful Bird Pics Vol. 16
That's not bad Nanny!
Too bad on that Magnolia Warbler Burd. The colors are fabulous.
I took some bad BB shots this morning too. Went to a park that I haven't been to and couldn't believe that there were BB so close to me.
Took bad pics of lots of other birds too, but this was the most disappointing. Just when I'd get him into view, he'd fly off-- a juvi red-shouldered hawk -- I think. Very chatty and had bars on tail.
a Black-throated Blue Warbler shot that seemed awful weird. lol
That's actually a Black-throated Black Warbler . . . ;-)

Thanks for the edit Resin! I had one of those "your not getting a good photo" days. lol
That's a nice awful pic. of your Hawk Elphaba!
LOL Bird, I do that a lot of times! "WHAT? who put the camera on THAT setting?!"
lol on the photos everyone. Elphaba, your last picture is great! At least you can see what bird you were trying to photograph-this one was a Scrub Jay that didn't care that I was about to snap a picture.
Bathing in vigor I see! lol
Nice awful shots all!
Ha. LOVE the bathing vigor.
Yes that is great,Iam soo glad we got a small water feature much fun.
Man, Elphaba, if it had just waited one more moment before turning its head. But you certainly did get through the vegetation.
But I'm curious, what kind of bird is that?

Pretty sure it's a Nashville Warbler. I keep hoping for a Connecticut Warbler but I don't even know if they come down here!
Here is a map for the Connecticut Warbler.

Pelle, you're amazing. OK, guess I'm never going to see one here! Definitely a Nashville Warbler!
I managed to get this amazing shot of a branch...with a Mrytle Warbler hiding behind it! lol

You did good nanny, that branch is in perfect focus.

Man, this is terrible. I was so surprised to see a hummer (I thought they were long gone) that I worried the shot.
And as is often the case, vegetation got in the way. It didn't give me more than just this instance and it was gone (maybe for good this time). I took the pic on Oct 6, so, at least one hummer was still here.
