The only ones splitting are the one's about the size of a cantelope, have some larger ones that look fine...they are all the same kind, just can't remember what kind that is.
Why are my small watermelons splitting
Hi Abby,
Have you been getting the terrible drought conditions down there that we've had up here in Vicksburg? Many things like cantaloupes and watermelons will split like that if they've been through an extended period of drought and then suddenly get a good rain. I've lost several cantaloupes and plenty of tomatoes because of the drought but everything is doing better now that we're finally getting some rain.
