Oh Duc, that's an adorable picture of your hummer bathing in the leaves! Mine like to bathe that way too, but I've never been able to get good pics of them doing it. I've never needed to clean my solar fountain pump more often than once a week or so ... prob'ly because I have fewer of the bigger birds using the birdbaths than you do ...
WESTERN HUMMINGBIRDS VOL. 11
whoa! nice colors on that broad billed! I had no idea that Arizona had those. Lovely to see them!
I saw this the other day (online) and wondered if it would be any good. Pricey though. But looks promising.

Mrs Ed, did you see the cheaper one that is smaller which this place has?

I love this one, but it still is pricey and it would have to hang out where it gets direct sun all day long. That would also mean that in our warmer climates, the water would have to be constantly changed to keep it cool.
ah yes.
I like the copper one.
That does look promising Mrs Ed and I like that it hangs
No worries about cool water here duc ^_^
Thank you Duc for sending me this link. It has been great keeping in touch with you and seeing your great shots. It is so exciting to see your hummers too Geni. I have missed keeping in touch with you very much. I have been practicing, but boy those little ones are so fast. I'm looking forward to seeing more. I love seeing the banded hummers too.
Hi SD! It's nice to see you here. :-) I've missed you too, and am looking forward to seeing your hummer pictures.
Hi Mrs Ed - Thanks! I'm glad you like the broadbills. Yes, there are some in southern AZ all year-round. I don't know how far north they go. There are a few adult males like this one here now, plus a female or two ... and a couple/few juveniles. During the winter there will be more of 'em, if this next winter is like the last few years.
It's a nifty birdbath. :-)
duc, wonderful shots, as always. I love the second shot where it's hovering above the spray.
Geni, I can see why duc wanted you to start posting. What a fabulous bird and marvellous shots.
Duc and Geni. I don't see where it says the size of the photo for this website. Can you tell me how much to resize? Thanks
Nancy
Welcome Nancy, so glad you decided to join us-it's like old home week!
I make my photos 800 x 600. You'll see the thumbnail photo below your message and then be able to click on that to see the larger photo.
Very good!
Congratulations on your first picture Pensacolagarden and welcome! Hope you'll be seeing more hummers soon.
Thank you I did get pictures of them last year but this is the first one this year..................lol
LOL duc. That last one looks as if it's about to do a swan dive into the water from a diving board.
OMG MargaretK what a koinkidink! I thought the same thing when I saw duc's pic ^_^ GREAT pic duc! Hi pensacolag. Congrats on your first pic of the season.
Very nice pics duc!
