what to do about bugs on cabbage... new to this please help!

My cabbage plants have holes in all the leaves, and when I checked this morning I found many little green "eggs?" ... not sure what to do, want to save them if I can.
They have also attacked the eggplant and broccli a little bit, but mostly the cabbage.
This is my first attempt at growing more than tomatos and peppers so I am at a loss as to what to do.
The peppers and tomatos however are doing very well.

Sounds like your cabbages are being attacked by the caterpillars from the white cabbage butterfly, I think everyone who grows cabbage has experienced the same problem, the Small white butterflies lay there eggs on your cabbages and when the eggs hatch out come the caterpillars that munch an amazing amount of your cabbages, IF you dont want to use any chemical help with this, you have to go out every day and hand pick off all the caterpillar's, take a container with water and drown them< or IF you have a bird feeder that you know birds use, place the caterpillers there for a bird treat.
ai personally use gloves and as I search all the leaves (undersides too) I just crush the pests but, some folks are too squeemish so choose your own way to rid the cabbage patch of them.
Here in UK, the white butterfly arrive around May/June so if you know when they are about to come visit the garden, you can cover the cabbage patch with fine fleece to keep the pests away.
Good luck. WeeNel.
