Hello,
I bought a new rubber plant this week and after taking it home I noticed that the roots have grown out from the drainage holes. Should I repot? If so, what is a good medium. Thanks!
New Rubber Plant - Repoting
Now is an ideal time for Michiganders to repot F. elastica into a durable fast draining soil. You should actually do a full repot, which includes bare-rooting, root pruning, and a complete change of soil.

Steve, If you haven't already, you might want to read the thread I posted a couple of days ago about rooting rubber plant cuttings. Some interesting input from folks.
