Nice selection!!
What have you ordered or want to 2010 #9
More like a Harlequin romance, Bill.
i agree - started to write it on my post and thought better of it :)
meredith they are only started plugs so they will be little and not much to look at for a while.
also have a fall bulb order in at cubits - same seller as here on dg though different coop - wish there was only one because we'd be at the 60% discount by now - big order a couple hundred bulbs - and i still need to finish order allium
Minuteman sounds like a Seaver hybrid from MA.....nice hostas.
I have minuteman...
Sounds like a nice group of hosta Bill. I have 'Revolution' and 'Patriot' from the same series as 'Minuteman' I think. Good substantial hosta.
thx pat - i have patriot and reverse patriot and was going to pass on the minuteman as they are similiar - for 2.50 or whatever it was i decided why not.
nice rain here today for you
Just received the fall Fairweather catalog. Uh oh!
rut roh.... I still need to place a bulb order for my front garden
Now that I've ordered all my fall bulbous things FOR SURE, I have forbaden myself to look at any catalogues but seed catalogues.
I need to order some bulbs too.
i will order those allium i've been mentioning later tonight
I'm trying to be good!
Ordered my bulbs

I was going to do some more for the rock garden but since I haven't even started it, I'll wait on that.
that will look nice jen.
ordered about 200 allium last night with more coming from eflowergarden and others from the fall bulb coop - will be a busy fall and the annual search of where to plant them all.
Bought these packages from the co-op going on here at DG...each Pk. contains 5 bulbs.
Lillies:
1 pk.Anastasia
1 pk. Brazilia
1 pk. Electric
1 pk. Patricia's Pride
1 pk. Yellow Electric
1 pk Hyacinth City of Haarlem
1 pk. Hyacinth Miss Saigon
1 pk. Tulip 'Don Quichotte'
2 pk. Tulip 'Wirosa'
As more people buy the more the prices drop. Right now my bill is approx. $32.00 for 50 bulbs....the math comes out to about .64 cents a bulb right now. ^_^
Nice bulb orders everyone. I need to get mine done too. Not so many as you all but a few ,mostly small daffs, for the two renovated and enlarged beds.
Which allium did you get Bill? There is going to be some wonderful spring pics around here next year.
list is at home pat so i'll have to get back to you later.
love alberta spruce can't have enough.
celeste what is the discount rate the dg coop is at right now - the exact same deal is going on over on cubits and i believe they are at 55% discount level. may switch to the dg if the discount is lower and the shipping is a bit earlier too.
Bill, the other site has sold more, so it's going to be a little cheaper so far, but we're talking pennies. I think they will both end up at 60%.
What alliums are you getting? I need some alliums.
I'm looking for a darker blue allium besides caeruleum if anyone finds one let me know.
Good deal for bulbs with that co op
i promise to post the list of allium - i have some from eflowergardens coop coming and from van englemen - there is one i saw in high country gardens catalog that blooms the end of the summer, a new hybrid i will probably order too. I had four bulb catalogs in front of me (one with pic's) and all these coops and was comparing prices for a few weeks.
i did order a blue one jen - not sure what the name is though
Not sure what the discount is right now...I know there is over 2500.00 in sales already so maybe 50-55%
Ship date is Oct. 4th
I think you're at 52 and we're at 55 maybe. It changes up and down constantly. Good deals for sure.
Oooh, I'd like a darker blue allium too.
You folks are NOT helping....here I am, heading for the bulb co-op.....
ooo flowerjen Purple Prince is going to POW with the peachy fleurs. Can't wait to see pics in the spring!
Aha, wha did you see where Susan posted there are only 87 bulbs to choose from on the Dg co-op and 519 on the other?
Nice orders.
I would of ordered from the 'other' but shipping date was too late. I've done that to many times...planted in late Oct./Nov. never again!!!
Oakes Daylilies is havng a 10% off sale. I may be forced to order a few. DLs are one perennial I don't mind planting in the fall. Here is the list I am thinking about. Any input appreciated.
Kindly Light
Dallas Star
Mighty Highty Tighty (Love the name on this one)
Lilting Belle
Siloam David Kirchhoff
Little Grapette
Miss Mary Mary
polly i believe both coops have the same as far as what i ordered - i agree with celeste about a late planting - i've come in with blue hands after trying to plant in freezing ground
There were a lot on the other co-op I wanted, that they didn't have on the co-op here, but I would have preferred the earlier shipping.
I like to plant bulbous things later. I wear those flippy mitten/gloves so my hands stay toasty.
Pat, my art teacher has Little Grapette....it's a small bloom, but nice. I don't know the others.
debbie just saw artic fire for 50% off will bring it home tomorrow.
ok here are the allium i ordered
eflowergarden - atropurpurea, christophii, giganteum, globemaster, schubertii.
fall bulb coop - allium molly luteum
van engelen - bulgaricum, cernuum, pulchellum, unifolium, and a tall collection that includes firmament, gladiator, mt. Everest, and ambassador.
