Just a quick "rookie" question.....at the top of Dave's Garden website is a picture of red flower with a bird sitting on it......what is that flower?

I believe it is a daylily. Here is a picture of my Alabama Jubilee Daylily.

ecrane is correct. It's a Crocosmia like the 'Emberglow' pictured below. If it were a daylily that hummingbird would be huge!
