Squash question.

I am battling several fungal attacks right now. I have a couple of summer squash plants that have both lost some leaves or are in the process of doing so. My question is --should I prune the leaves and if so where should I make my cuts.

I pick off the ones that are dead and/or dying. I just cut them off close to the main stem.
