Good Morning all! I purchased quite a few Princess Lillies this year, with the thought that I could winter them by drying out the tubers and replanting in spring. I think I was wrong about that the more I read. We live in PA by Lake Erie, and do get quite a bit of snow along with cold temps for most of the winter, so I don't think wintering them in the ground is an option. I do not have access to a greenhouse, and would think that the garage would be just as cold. As far as putting the pots in the basement, it is heated so I am not sure this would work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do love these and don't want to loose them! Thanks!
Princess Lily Wintering
Instead of trying to treat them like a bulb/etc sort of plant where you dig them up and store them dry for the winter, I would treat them like a regular plant...grow them in a container and bring the whole container inside for the winter.
I have way to many of them to bring in the house. I think my husband would make me move out lol.
