I love my liatrus and so do the bees, butterflies and goldfinches. I hate to remove spent blooms as the goldfinches love them but if I remove some will the plant produce more blooms?
Deadheading liatrus
Info from Garden Gate...
Cut stems back to the top of the foliage after the flowers fade; smaller second flowers may
sprout from the stem or near the ground; if not deadheaded birds will feast on the seeds
I love this chart...use it all the time
