When are these things ready for pickin'? Mine is getting nice and fat, but I don't know how much of the green is supposed to still be on the cucumber. Can anyone help?

Good for you. Actually with most cukes you do not want them ripe. They are used immature so pick them whnever they are big enough for your use. White wonder does not get large 5-6 inches long max.
