My wild blackberrys are not filling out just making hard green knots. Is this what you mean. We've had a lot of rain too, tho i thought they liked wet.
Mine just does this sometimes and i don't know why.

Vickie , yes that is what my berries look like too. it is really sad because there were more flowers on them than ever before I thought I was gong to have a real good batch of berries. When are berries ready to pick where you live , is it mid July?
hanks for the feed back

YES, They should be turning anytime now. I know by experience they wont be edible. Mine were just covered in blooms too.
My plum trees were too but think I'll get some from them. Some are rotting on the tree. My pears are doing good and no problems with them. Muskadines are ok too. I live in isolated woods and they always disapear over night. Everything seems to love muskadines.
Have you got anything beside blackberrys? I usually have more luck with Dewberrys(also wild) which grow along the ground instead of on canes. Tho i don't grow them myself, i've heard rasberrys do better once established.

Yes I have a black raspberry that is about 3 years old it is doing just like the blackberry , I planted this year thornless blackberrys , black raspberrys and red raspberrys, I was told that the red raspberrys should produce some this fall. but the way the rest are looking I wont count on it happening. I have never heard of a muskadine does it grow on a tree or bush ?

Muskadines are related to grapes and grow on vines. Here in the south they can grow to the tops of trees but never seem to hurt the tree, They have a tough skin and are good. They make fabulous jelly and wine.
Mine are tame white ones and take over the country.I got them at Lowes abt 10 years ago.
