New to plants-questions about corn plant and rubber plant

Fayetteville, AR

I have just recently (like the last two years) started trying to keep houseplants. I have two peace lilies and have added a corn plant a couple of weeks ago.

How do I know when to water it? The peace lilies start to look droopy but will the corn plant?

Today I just picked up a burgandy rubber plant. (50% off-SCORE!!) It is in a 10 inch pot and is maybe 15-18 inches tall. What do I do with it? How big of a pot does it need? and when do I water it? How quickly will it grow?

Thanks, this site is amazing!

Corn plants can take some abuse. I haven't really seen them drop when they are dry. I would check soil on it. I water mine (rubber plant) every 3-5 days (in the summer) Mine right now is in a 10 inch pot and is around 18 inches tall. It has grown this height fairly quickly (it was only 4 inch tall when I got it) and I have had it only 6 months.
