Fall Flowers in Zone 5

What are some flowers that bloom in the fall, September til frost? I need some color for that time and wondered what would be best to plant. I live in Missouri where we have had tons of rain but hopefully it will be stopping soon. Also my daughter is getting married in September and wanted something that is in bloom at that time. Thanks for your help.

try mums. They usually bloom in Sept-October and come in variety of colors.

Also some asters places sell are in bloom around then.

I think your best bet would be mums as tishrh suggested.

You can plug it in by color, sun/sahde, time of year, etc for your zone
