has a limelight 4 o clock the blooms barely open for her sent me a picture and they dont open. i told her to try gently helping it open and still wont open. anyone had these and any advice?
my friend
Are the 4:0clocks in shade, partial shade or sun? Mine never did well in much shade.
Also what time is she looking at them? Their 4 o'clock name is approximate--could be hers open a little bit later than that so maybe if she looked later they'd be open.
they are in part sun part shade. she had it in morning sun only as it gets so hot here. my red ones are in the same conditions her s was in. they bloom fine. and do have some in shade that do fine too so i know about 4 o clocks just wish mine were so self seeding hehe giving these away.
hers dont open they dont even look like they open and just die off by morning. i went out there at 9 pm and they werent open. dont get it
Are they in the ground or in a container? My container ones were awful, but the ones I have in the ground do just fine.
was in container i think then she transplanted this weekend once she found out mine were in ground.
just weird the flowers didnt open at night like should. if me i wouldnt of transplanted them would of started over.
i hope to get a few in trade if possible. working on it. see if those bloom. weird for a 4 o clock
