I planted my first garden this year and I have had a few problems but nothing major. I went on vacation last week and when I left I had a nice sweet banana going and about 5 jalapenos on my pepper plants. When I got home I couldn't wait to see if they were ready to pick. When I finally made it out to my garden I was very disappointed to see that all of them were gone. The plants themselves were did not seem harmed but the peppers were gone. I checked with my father in-law to see if he had been in there but he said he hadn't. Then a couple days ago I had another jalapeno coming on and last night I checked and it was gone also. Again no damage, that I can tell, to the plant itself. Something it taking my peppers and leaving the plants alone. Everything I have read talks about damage to the foliage in addition to the actual pepper. What could it be?
What is eating my peppers?
