Hello,
This may be a silly question however, my boyfriend decided to get strimmer happy today resulting in him strimming the tops off my spring onions which i have been happily growing in my garden. Will they still be okay with out the green tall leaves, or have they bit the dust?
I was really proud that i had actually grown something so i really hope they're okay, otherwise i may be doing some strimming of my own!
Thanks :)
Rachel
Spring Onion damage!
I think they will come back out. Onions are are pretty hearty. Hope I'm right for your sake or maybe for your boyfriend's sake. Let us know what happens. If they are going to come back out you should know in three or four days.
Not sure if it'll be the same, but some of the tops of my onions got broken off and new bits grew and they are still growing.
