I have 4 Osteospermum and one Chrysanthemum that have (verticillium?) wilt. I've clipped off the bad foliage, but how can I treat the good foliage so the wilt won't spread? This is what I've done so far:
1. Cut back dead foliage
2. Rinse all dirt off the roots
3.Cuttings taken of some of the healthy foliage
4. Soil and pots are drenched in boiling water to hopefully kill the fungus (if this doesn't work, please let me know)
5. Repot plants in sterile soil and pots.
6. Dead foliage drenched in boiling water. (will this be safe to put in the compost pile?)
7. Keep diseased plants away from healthy plants.
Hopefully this all won't be in vain =(
Fungus? Wilt? on Osteospermum and Chrysanthemum, HELP!!!
