storms hit about 20 minutes ago - torrential rain with thunder and some wind - temp went for 87 to 70 degrees!

Nasty storms in Conn. Hope no one has been hurt. Nothing here yet, they all fizzle out when they run into the hills just west of here or split in two, one goes north and one goes south. Still 85 with a nice gusty wind. Was up in the 90s earlier. A line of storms looks to be moving across the state now, could get some thing out of that one or the smaller line in back of it. They are now reporting it could have been a tornado touch down in Conn.

Nothing here ether. No rain, no thunder no nothing. Temp still 81 degrees. Wind picked up late this afternoon a bit that's about it. Sun was out most of the afternoon after late morning clouds moved off. Big mess down there in Bridgeport. Electricity on here and off there throughout the city. Lots of damage but hopefully not too many injuries. Guess the highways were a mess for a while too, tractor trailer accident and trees down. Maybe not so bad to get nothing I'm thinking. If it's like this in May and June , what is July and August going to be like?
I don't want to think about it!

The tornedo didn't touch my garden. Blew one of the door mats off the porch and left the other two. go figure. Didn't lose power but 3 blocks away a transformer blew and the CVS was closed when I went to get antibiotics for a bad cat bite. (Yes, Wallingford was a bad, bad kitty. Again)

Yay, Memory....very scary having a tornado so close.....found out why the road nearby was closed...the barn that was next door to our friends (who we visit in FL) burned after a lightning strike...& I had to reset a circuit in the basement....strikes were too close.
